GENERAL FORUM FAQ'S

Q. How do I change my profile etc..?
A: We have a general FAQ list HERE for anime or HERE for manga where you can find all technical answers.

Q. What's all this talk about chuunins/genins/jounins etc.?
A: Since this is a anime related forum we decided to keep things in 'style'. These ranks are from Naruto (as most anime fans prbably already know) and I merely used them to give some sort of distiction between usergroups.
Shinobi (ninja) who register first become Genin, and after making 30 post are automaticly being promoted to Chuunin (yay no life-threatening Chuunin exams! :wink: ) After that automatic promotion stops. Jounins are basicly admins, and I won't be needing one of those for a while. Then we have Upload Chuunins, who are the same as normal Chuunins but are moderater for some of the download sections. And then we have an ANBU squad who's mission it is to keep our download links active.
And ofcourse you have me, the Hokage. I'm the head-moderater/owner/head-admin etc. ( basicly the one who runs this joint :wink: and NO you can't aply for this job! :P)

Q. Can I promote to another rank?
A: Yes and no. Most of the ranks are already filled (Jounin and Upload Chuunins), but if we ever need more I'll contact the person I've seen most fit through PM.
However every shinobi can aply for the ANBU squad.

Q. Where do I aply for this ANBU squad, and what do I have to do then?
A: Please check HERE!

Q. I want to help out, but how?
A: There are many ways to help out at the forum, and for most of them you can even earn points! To name a few options:
* Be an active poster! (seriously, a forum can't live without them!)
* Follow the rules! (this saves up loads of time. Time we could use to further optimise the forum)
* Help us uploading by filling in requests. (you can make a lot of point swith this as well)
* Participate in contests.
* Join the ANBU. We can always use active ANBU members to help keep our links online and valid!
* Tell your friends/family/neighbours/classmates/colleagues etc (basicly the entire world) about AWR. Not only do you earn points for every shinobi you bring in, but it will help AWR grow.
* and the list goes on and on....

Q: Can I help out with uploading?
A: Sure you can, in fact we would be very happy if you would. You can even make quite some points in doing so! Just go HERE to read how you can help out.

Q. How do I get an avatar or signature?
A: If you have one, you can add a link in your Profile. If you don't have one, you can buy on in one of the shops here/organise a shignature/avatar contest and get a whole bunch of them.

Q. What's spamming?
A: Spam is the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unneeded messages on forums. Also double posting (posting 2 times in a row in the same topic without another post in between) is spam. All of this is strictly against the rules, and shinobi who do can be banned for it!

Q: Can my website/forum/blog etc. affiliate with AWR?
A: Your website needs to be associated with anime/manga in general and in English. I do not link to general blogs/journals or fanfic/fanart only site. If you want to affiliate PM or email me (info@anime-world-ruka.com) with at least a link to your site/forum, and I'll get back to you.


DOWNLOAD FAQ'S

Q: Can I download anime/manga stuff from here?
A: Yes you can, and we have even more up for direct download. Register, it's free anyway. Then go check the download area at the bottom of the main forum. In every thread is an ".... we have" topic. In which every episode/manga etc is listed with links to the respective topics. This way you can easily see what series we have listed at AWR without having to browse trough the many pages. (but if you DO browse you might run into even more great series ;P )

Q. So what episodes/series do you have for download?
A: Register and find out! In every download thread there is an "....we have" topic with a list of every series/OVA/Movie?artbook etc... we have, with direct links to the respective topics.

Q: In what format is the media?
A: Formats differ per topic, but are always in at least GQ or HQ (Good Quality/High Quality) Unless stated otherwise, all anime is either SUBBED or in DUAL AUDIO.

Q: How do I download the files?
A: Easy, just click on the link of the eps. you want to download, and it will automaticly redirect you to the uploader. There simply follow the instructions, and download your file.

Q. I can't use the uploader that was used
A: Too bad! Just kidding :wink: If you ask nicely in the respective 'request for re-uploads' topic with a clear discription of which eps/series etc you need and which uploader you CAN use (please check to see if that uploader allows files up to the size of the eps. etc.) some one is bound to help you out.

Q: I can't seem to download a certain file.
A: Chances are the uploader the files is hosted by is down for a few hours, or the link has expired due to inactivity. Just post in the respective topic with the request to reupload the eps./chaps etc. BE SURE TO STATE WHICH EPS./CHAP/VOL. IT IS YOU NEED!

Q: I downloaded a file succefully, but now it doesn't play....
A: Probably you're missing a correct codec. Sounds nasty, but is solved easily. Simply download and install one (or all, just to be on the safe side) of the following CodecPacks, and it should play.
* CCCP
* K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
Or try playing the file in VLC PLAYER. (One of the best mediaplayers out there for free, and plays practically ANYthing.)

Q: Can I host your files on my site or other sites?
A: The first thing you need to do is ask me about it. Tell me where you are going to host or put up the file. I will have to take a look at it first before giving permission. ( See Genreal Forum Rules for more info)
